Dear supporter,

To believe in the truth of the LGBT worldview requires the willing suspension of disbelief. Start with marriage. They want people to believe that two men or two women can be married to each other despite the fact that marriage is inherently – always and everywhere, universally, since the dawn of time – the union of a man and a woman.

And take the matter of a person’s bodily sex, something immutable and irrefutable. Yet, we are told that human sex nowadays is actually determined by a person’s “identity” and not biology.

That gives rise to some other remarkable claims.

Help NOM Fight The LGBT Agenda

About a year ago we reported on two men, one of whom identified as a woman, raising an infant child. Despite preparing for the arrival of the infant, including taking classes from an “expert,” the trans ‘woman’ (a man) expressed great disappointment when he could not “chestfeed” the child with breastmilk.

Now there’s this: these radical activists claim that trans women (men) can have periods. This is being claimed despite the fact that they utterly lack the reproductive organs and reproductive cycle that result in menstruation.

These nonsensical claims made by the LGBT community would be laughable except for the fact that they are not joking. They are so serious in their delusions, in fact, that they intend to impose their worldview into federal law and then target anyone who disagrees with them with abusive legal complaints and lawsuits.

That is exactly what legislation soon to be introduced in Congress would do. We at NOM call it the InEquality Act because it would create special legal rights based on sexual orientation and gender identity for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and those who identify as transgender.

NOM is a leading opponent of the InEquality Act legislation. We defeated it in the last Congress but we must get ready for a ferocious push again this year. You can help us in this fight by making a 2023 Membership Contribution today. All gifts to the NOM Education Fund are fully tax deductible.

The InEquality Act would declare that belief in marriage as the union of one man and one woman is a sexual stereotype. It would give those who identify as LGBT new special legal rights to target people when they refuse to accept LGBT views on key issues such as marriage. And it would strip people of faith of their statutory rights to religious liberty should they oppose the homosexual agenda on marriage and other issues.

During the last Congress, NOM generated over two million contacts with Congress in opposition to the InEquality Act, including email messages and phone calls to elected officials.  Now we must prepare for another push behind the legislation.

It’s not just the homosexual lobby and radical Democrats we have to worry about. Even though Republicans narrowly control the House, a number of Republicans in the last Congress actually voted in favor of the InEquality Act.

NOM is a grassroots organization that largely depends on financial support from individuals and families to keep us on the front lines fighting for marriage, a proper understanding of male and female and religious liberty, as well as all our shared values and views. Please help us by making a 2023 Membership Contribution today. You can renew your support of NOM by making either a one-time donation, or by becoming a monthly donor.

I find it sad that many people are being deluded into believing the LGBT narrative with all their false claims about marriage, gender, religious liberty and all the other nonsense that they put out there on the Internet and among the radical left. American is losing the foundational values that have made us such a great country, which is exactly the outcome many of these radicals desire.

We at NOM will never shy away from contesting the LGBT narrative, and we will never accede to allowing this narrative to become part of federal law. But for us to succeed, we must receive the prayers and financial support of people of good will who make up the silent majority.

Your financial support of NOM at this time by making a 2023 Membership Contribution is both very much needed and will be gratefully appreciated. Thank you any assistance you can provide.

Faithfully,

Brian S. Brown, President, National Organization for Marriage
