NOM is on the front lines fighting for our values, and we are winning. Our victories don’t always make front page news with the media, but they are significant.
After years of effort by NOM, the LGBT lobby appears to have dropped their top legislative priority, legislation we have dubbed the InEquality Act, which would have directly imposed much of their radical agenda into federal law. This is a great victory.
Now they are turning their attention to a new effort: Congressional action to push what we call the Transgender Bill of Wrongs, an end run designed to indirectly enact elements of their agenda. We are determined to defeat this as well. (Stay tuned – we will have much more to say about this new fight shortly.)

As the leading national group advocating for the truth of gender – a binary reality based on biology – we’ve helped inspire many state legislative efforts to protect children from the transgender agenda. Indeed, some 45 states have proposed laws to protect kids from being exposed to transgender ideology, especially in school. Fourteen states have already passed such laws, and nearly twenty other states are actively considering protections.
In the wake of the horrific shooting by a transgender activist of six people in Nashville recently, NOM took on Amazon – a major backer of LGBT causes including transgender “rights” – for glorifying transgender violence.
I went to Twitter to mobilize Americans to demand that Amazon remove transgender t-shirts promoting violence against those who oppose their radical agenda.
Amazon was bombarded with complaints from consumers and within two days they were forced to take down the merchandise from their site.
And then there’s our incredibly successful boycott of Disney. Over 32,000 people have signed our Dump Disney petition pledging to sever all ties with the company.
Since our protest began, the company has lost billions in market value, been stripped of their governance control of their properties in Orlando, been forced to lay off over 7,000 employees and have had to face angry confrontations from investors at their recent annual shareholders meeting.
Our victories in Congress, in the states, in the courts and in the court of public opinion only happen when we have the financial means to carry out our mission. That is why the 2023 Spring Membership Drive that is currently underway is so important to us.
A $100,000 matching fund has been created. For every dollar we raise, an additional dollar is donated to NOM from the fund. New monthly donors generate twelve dollars for every dollar of their monthly pledge.
