Businesses strive to create a climate where people work together across lines of race, creed, color and moral views, because corporations thrive when all their employees feel valued and free to contribute. We are entering a new era, when some gay rights groups are now seeking to get corporations to discriminate against people who do not support gay marriage, and even threatening to punish corporations if they refuse. We believe the workplace should be a culture-war free zone.

    We are urging customers across the globe to 'Dump Starbucks' because it has taken a corporate-wide position that the definition of marriage between one man and one woman should be eliminated and that same-sex marriage should become equally 'normal'. As such, Starbucks has deeply offended at least half its US customers, and the vast majority of its international customers. [Read More]

    When General Mills staked out a position in support of same-sex marriage this past June, publicly opposing the Minnesota Marriage Amendment, the NOM Education Fund responded quickly, launching to inform consumers, garnering over 10,000 signatures in the first 24 hours. Partnerships between community groups are crucial to the development of effective programs that educate and defend marriage. NOM has fostered and advanced these partnerships since its beginnings and has built up a strong and diverse network of community partners, especially within ethnic and racial minority communities.

    Thousands and thousands of marriage supporters as well as over 40 co-sponsoring organizations joined NOM’s March for Marriage in Washington, D.C., which took place the same day as the Supreme Court heard arguments in the Proposition 8 case. [Read More]

    Across the country pro-marriage Americans are being harassed and discriminated against for their heartfelt beliefs on marriage.
